Summary

For a long-awaited four-acre park, Local Life Maintenance Group crews relied on Trimble® Earthworks for precise excavation and grading on their excavator and compact track loader, while surveyors used a Trimble R780 GNSS system. This tech-driven workflow helped them accurately build everything from utility connections to pickleball courts, delivering the project on schedule.

Transforming four acres of raw land into a vibrant community space is no small task. For Local Life Maintenance Group, it’s exactly the kind of challenge they’ve built their reputation on. Awarded the construction contract for Pittsfield Township’s long-awaited Grewal Park, the team brought their expertise in precision excavation, grading and land preparation — powered by Trimble® technology and supported by SITECH Michigan — to create a neighborhood park designed to serve generations.

Precision from the ground up

Local Life’s crews relied on Trimble Earthworks grade control platform running on both their excavator and compact track loader for precise grading and excavation. Their survey workflow was anchored by a Trimble R780 GNSS smart antenna and Trimble TSC7 controller with Trimble Siteworks software, supported by a Trimble R750 GNSS modular receiver, giving operators and surveyors real-time confidence in their work, reducing rework, and keeping the project on schedule.

Local Life Compact Track Loader and Excavator

From the earliest stages of site preparation to the finishing touches of native landscaping, Trimble tech empowered Local Life to seamlessly handle every phase of construction. Their crews installed water and utility connections, graded accessible walkways and constructed a wide range of amenities, including pickleball and sand volleyball courts, pavilions, fencing, playground structures and stormwater management systems. Each element was masterfully integrated into the park’s overall design, ensuring both function and community appeal.
