Trimble is pleased to announce that its content organisation in Europe has been ISO 9001 and ISO 27001 certified. These internationally recognised standards mean that our MEPcontent files and 3D models (Revit, Autocad and IFC), Stabicad PLS files and Trimble Nova catalogues are created using processes that have a quality and security guarantee and make the service that we provide best-in-class in the industry.

What ISO standards have we been awarded?

ISO 9001 is the world’s most recognised quality management system standard, established by the International Organisation for Standardization (ISO). It helps organisations to implement clear, repeatable processes to maintain a quality service for their customers every time.

Officially known as the ISO/IEC 27001 Information Security Management standard, it details the requirements for businesses to securely manage information assets and data to an internationally recognised standard. ISO 27001 requires that organisations assess information security risks, put in place robust security controls and processes, and embed information security management across the organisation.

What does this mean for our customers?

Our customers already know about our internal quality assurance, the Extended MEPcontent Standard (EMCS) 5.0. It provides MEP engineers and manufacturers all around the world with a clear understanding of the content as it is offered on MEPcontent.com: consistent, uniform, compact and compliant to international and local BIM standards.

The EMCS is a uniform standard for MEP engineers globally and has recently been updated.

This independent ISO certification is a reaffirmation of our commitment to our customers. It has benefits for all our customers, from manufacturers, looking to create and distribute BIM content, to distributors that consume the information and engineers that use the content to create construction-ready models. It means that all customers can rest assured that they are working with content creators that have robust processes in place to ensure a superior quality and the tightest security.

An external quality, security and accuracy guarantee, that ensures reliability and repeatable processes across our vast organisation, is of utmost importance for a business that operates in data.

As part of this certification, we now include a feedback mechanism on all files featured on mepcontent.com. Aiming for continuous improvement, our feedback form allows manufacturers to let us know about their experience on our site. This information will enable us to optimise our customer experience and improve satisfaction levels.
