AGO Technische Installaties is a southern Dutch full-service installer of mechanical engineering and building installations for residential and industrial construction. As project coordinator for the company that his father founded in 2007, Rob van Summeren has constantly worked to make AGO more digital. A few years ago, Trimble Connect was introduced so that employees can be constantly supplied with the latest drawings and 3D images while working. This has improved the work considerably.
"We started using Trimble Connect a few years ago. It allowed us to always work with the latest drawings and 3D images on site, which was a big step forward."

Preparation for the introduction of the Quality, Health and Environment Act
There were several reasons for the AGO's technical facilities to look for a comprehensive checklist system.
Rob says: "Our installers easily had to fill out six to eight forms when handing over a complex during a final inspection. Calculate how many that is for a project with 100 apartments. We also wanted to be well prepared for the introduction of the KAM (Kwaliteit, Arbo & Mileu = Quality, Health, Safety and Environment Act). Since we already had a good experience with Trimble during the introduction of Trimble Connect, we decided to ask them for an application that could help us with this digitization. That's how we ended up with Viewpoint."
Rob van Summeren, Project Coordinator at AGO Installaties, has made it his mission to bring the company into its digital...
Viewpoint Field View is a solution that brings all information from the construction site to the office and thus digitizes it. Laurens Duijm, consultant at Trimble: "AGO presented us with the challenge of being up and running within a month. In three days of training, all engineers were prepared and within the same month Viewpoint was already running on several projects."
AGO's installers began working with Viewpoint Field View with enthusiasm. Project manager Gilbert Pashouwers, who was also closely involved in the implementation,:
"There really is no excuse for installers not to work with Viewpoint Field View. It's incredibly simple, literally a drop-down menu where you can check off all the items without having to write a single letter."

Advantages of digital work on site
Rob mentioned that the main advantage of working digitally on site is that they can prepare everything in advance and provide the installer with a detailed report. Pictures and notes can also be attached.
Rob: "The main advantages for us are certainly that we can prepare everything well and give the installer a clear overview of what is expected of him. Finally, you can also include photos and comments. Soon, with the introduction of the Quality Assurance Act, it will also be important to have all the information from older projects at hand. We can now filter everything in Viewpoint Field View by search terms."
"Working with Viewpoint Field View is really a step forward. It's very simple and I can tick everything in the system and communicate easily with the office that way. And the best thing is that I can now go straight home after a day's work without having to hand in all the forms at the office! " - AGO Installer
