What has changed?
The existing calculation engine gives you accurate mechanical and electrical calculations within Stabicad. The brand new calculation engine for heating and cooling systems is designed to be more powerful and process calculations in a fraction of the time. Both calculation engines support ISSO 18, which means you can rest assured that accuracy does not come at the expense of speed.

The new calculation engine uses Revit's autorouting to re-size systems. Because you have the ability to set derouting preferences within Revit, you can directly influence which fittings should be chosen by the calculation. This also brings speed improvements. It also significantly increases the probability that all nodes can actually be solved.
In case no solution is available, a custom attachment is placed. This always gives you a calculation report and overview, and you can inspect afterwards the places where the custom attachments were placed.
Overview
Experience lightning-fast calculations of heating and cooling systems, up to 30x faster and according to ISSO 18 with Stabicad, directly in Revit. Now you can also dimension your pipe network based on user-set limits, increasing efficiency more than ever!
How is it significantly faster? What are the benefits?

"The new calculation engine calculates the model outside of Revit and creates
optimal use of Revit's APIs to process changes quickly," said Roger Füchs, Senior Product Manager at Trimble, "due to the cloud nature of the engine, performance is also less afh__ dependent on the user's hardware. In this way , we can offer our customers significantly sn__eller computin__gen, even on large models."
The time saved by this update helps users increase productivity and profits. Because model checks are performed significantly faster - even complex systems with hundreds of units - mechanical engineers buy back valuable time.
How do I set it up?
It is easy to set up the new cloud calculation engine. Once a user updates to 24.08, the cloud calculation engine will automatically be the default applied calculation engine. You can always change this in StabiBASE. The existing calculation will also still be available. This means that workflows remain unchanged, with speed being the only difference!
