This development will enable our customers to effortlessly view and edit Microsoft documents (Word, Excel, etc.) directly from Viewpoint For Projects, improving productivity and streamlining workflow.
Overview
Our partnership with Microsoft continues to develop, and we are strengthening integrations between Microsoft Office and Trimble. Viewpoint For Projects is a construction document management system designed to facilitate project management. As many Viewpoint For Projects (VFP) customers already use Microsoft Office, we have removed existing barriers, creating a unified, simplified experience that reduces manual work and increases accuracy.

Imagine the possibilities when you combine the power of Office 365 for document creation with the security, control and permissions of Viewpoint For Projects. With this integration, you can extend Office 365 collaboration outside your organization, trusting VFP to manage document permissions, security and workflow with your entire project team. This integration changes the game, making Viewpoint For Projects the collaboration platform, while Microsoft Office provides the familiar tools for document creation and editing.
Microsoft documents (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) can be quickly viewed and edited in the Viewpoint For Projects browser. Real-time online document review significantly enhances the user experience, making document editing fast and efficient. Collaborate live with colleagues on Microsoft documents within Viewpoint For Projects while retaining the same level of control that VFP offers, from security permissions to workflow review.
