Designing and constructing a large-scale place of worship in one of India’s most seismically active regions required more than engineering expertise—it demanded precision, resilience and deep collaboration. Located in Seismic Zone 5, the highest earthquake risk category in the country, the project posed significant structural, architectural and logistical challenges. The goal was to create a spiritually symbolic structure capable of accommodating up to 5,000 worshippers, while ensuring the highest standards of safety, performance and constructability.
To manage the project’s complexity, ISB Infrastructure relied on Tekla Structures for detailed structural BIM modeling. The software’s intuitive interface and robust modeling environment enabled the team to efficiently manage complex geometries, resulting in a 20% reduction in modeling time compared to traditional CAD methods.
