Designing and constructing a large-scale place of worship in one of India’s most seismically active regions required more than engineering expertise—it demanded precision, resilience and deep collaboration. ISB Infrastructure Pvt. Ltd., a trusted leader in prefabricated and pre-engineered building solutions with over 30 years of experience, delivered exactly that with a landmark church project in Nagaland, India.

Located in Seismic Zone 5, the highest earthquake risk category in the country, the project posed significant structural, architectural and logistical challenges. The goal was to create a spiritually symbolic structure capable of accommodating up to 5,000 worshippers, while ensuring the highest standards of safety, performance and constructability.

To manage the project’s complexity, ISB Infrastructure relied on Tekla Structures for detailed structural BIM modeling. The software’s intuitive interface and robust modeling environment enabled the team to efficiently manage complex geometries, resulting in a 20% reduction in modeling time compared to traditional CAD methods.
