Trimble LiveCount™ digital takeoff software helps electrical contractors create estimates faster, easier, and more accurately. Taking off drawings is probably the most time-consuming part of an estimator's job. That’s why each month, we introduce new features and improvements to our LiveCount software (based on direct customer feedback) to help save users time and make takeoff a breeze – or at least a bit less tedious!
Here are some of the latest updates in LiveCount that users can take advantage of to simplify and streamline their takeoff process:
Key New Features
Automatically recognize receptacles and switches on drawings: Users can now speed up the takeoff process through LiveCount’s AI recognition of receptacles and switches on drawings (only available for named users on Accubid Anywhere and Accubid Classic Hosted Essentials).

Users have complete control over which drawings they would like to run through the automated search. When the automated search is complete, users can review and modify the results as needed via the Auto Count panel. Watch the video to see this in action.
Seamlessly detect and set drawing scales (only available for named users on Accubid Anywhere and Accubid Classic Hosted Essentials): A critical first step of any takeoff project is to set an accurate scale. LiveCount now automates this step, which saves users a significant amount of time and helps reduce potential errors caused by incorrectly set scales.
When users first add drawings to the job, LiveCount will automatically detect and set the scale. If LiveCount cannot detect a scale from the drawing, a display message will pop up asking users to manually set the scale.
Additional Enhancements
Batch Drawing Versioning: Users can increase productivity when handling revisions by mass updating their drawing versions: simply select the drawings being replaced and then link the two versions. Users also have the ability to copy previous annotations to the latest versions.To more easily distinguish between drawing versions, enhanced colors are available to indicate the changes between drawings.
Add missed items in Auto Count review process: When users are reviewing results on the drawing, users can now select the Add Missed Symbols toggle in the Review on Drawing mode to add any items that were missed by Auto Count. Adding the missed items will automatically update the total count of the item and allow for more accuracy in the takeoff process.
Easily view Item Description: Users can now further ensure accuracy in takeoff by being able to view linked Item Descriptions from the Accubid application in the Annotations Details side panel.
