Sprint Selects Trimble's Mobile Resource Management Solution
for its Local Telecommunications Division Field Service Fleet

 
SUNNYVALE, Calif., July 29, 2004 -- Trimble (NASDAQ:TRMB) announced today that the Company's subsidiary, Trimble Mobile Solutions, Inc. (TMS), has been selected by Sprint (NYSE: FON) to provide its mobile resource management solution for installation on Sprint's field service fleet for the Local Telecommunications Division (LTD).
 
As part of the agreement, Sprint will equip its LTD field service technician fleet with the TMS mobile resource solution. The system will allow each local office to communicate, dispatch and monitor the status of their vehicles to improve fleet operations. Installation of the vehicles will begin in the third quarter of 2004.
