Comprehensive slab deflection calculations - part 2

This is the second of a two part series of webinars looking at the approach to rigorous slab deflection calculations now available in the 2018 release of Tekla Structural Designer.

In this webinar Kenny Arnott will look at the slab deflection analysis workflow and explain the practical method of slab deflection checking including how to set user limits and check lines. The perspective taken on accuracy and the provision of an allowance for shrinkage. Calculation sensitivities and the studies done to create a credible range of values for all of the input parameters create a rigorous approach.

Slab deflection is a complex subject and this series of two webinars aims to discuss much of the detail that lies behind the calculations and demonstrate how this has been automated in Tekla Structural Designer whilst retaining transparency to dig into the detail when required.
