Real-life projects for an immersion in the heart of BIM
Joinville-le-Pont, June 24, 2024 - Trimble announces the winners of the Trimble Construction Awards, a competition for Structures and Fluid Networks construction projects realized with Trimble solutions: Tekla Structures, Trimble Nova, Stabicad and Trimble Connect. The excellence of the twenty-four projects in competition, from the classic to the most complex, confirms that virtual models improve and facilitate the entire construction process. Digital mock-ups are at the heart of the construction process, from design to completion on site.
The main criteria for judging projects were the use of digital mock-up and collaboration, constructability, consideration of carbon footprint reduction, innovative use of Trimble solutions and project originality. A "BIM Super Prize" was awarded to the best BIM project in all categories.
Super prix BIM, ASTREE - COLLÈGE ZAC BELCIER

The college accommodates no fewer than 700 students, and was designed to have a minimum carbon footprint. The entire project is based on interoperability between all the parties involved (BIM approach), with a specific and unique graphic charter for each party.
Special Jury Mention, GUILLERM - PAVILLON CONTEMPORAIN
The project is an example of a pavilion built by the Guillerm company. The concept is an original company process: prefabricated concrete houses delivered turnkey in 5 months. Guillerm controls the entire pavilion chain.

Commercial Project, MTECHBUILD - BIOSPHERE

Commercial building. The particularity of the project lies in its curved-roof form, its wooden framework and its wood/aluminum brise soleil cladding. The challenges for this project were the design, manufacture and installation of a curved glass envelope and wood brise soleil.
Public Project, VIRY - GARE DE LA DÉFENSE, CNIT, RER E

The EOLE project, which extends the RER E to the west, includes a new station at La Défense. This underground station is built under the existing CNIT ERP. The station concourse is located on level J, the tenth level below the Parvis de la Défense, 30 meters below the level of the Parvis.
Industrial Project, SMIL - RECYCLING PLANT
Recycling plant for construction waste. The challenges of this project were to use recycling machines to enable products from concrete demolition to become raw materials once again.

Infrastructure Project, ACML - PASSERELLE DANIEL COLLIARD
Construction of a mobile footbridge dedicated to soft mobility. The 80-meter-long footbridge features a world-first two-phase kinematics system. This retractable system allows boats to pass through, particularly those taking part in the Transat Jacques Vabre.

Small Project, SPAC - HTB MESIL

Transformation of 2.5km of overhead lines into underground lines, as part of a project to free up land for the construction of structures and buildings. BIM made it possible to anticipate geometric constraints and work phasing for drawing HVB cables and positioning supports.
HVAC - Elec Tertiary Project, AQUATAIR - G.S LOUISE MICHEL

This project involves the construction of a new school complex for kindergarten through to primary school. It also includes a crèche and a gymnasium. The school complex has been designed to be a passive building.
Residential HVAC - Elec, DESBARBIEUX VALENGREEN - AFR
AFR is an emergency housing center. The AFR would like to be able to offer a better welcome on its site for both residents and the general public. With this project, in addition to a functional response, the association wants a sustainable, low-energy building.

Each Structures winner of the Trimble Construction Awards will take part in the Tekla Global BIM Awards 2024. The winners of the overall competition will then be chosen by a jury of BIM experts.
