Project description
Construction, for CEVA Santé Animale, of a workshop for the primary packaging of injectable products in CLAS plastic vials (shock-resistant vials developed by CEVA). The CLAS 2 project is located in an existing building (one area demolished and another reinforced) between a production line and a packaging line. The site is to remain in operation at all times.
Challenges to meet
The building is nested between several buildings, and the limited assembly area meant that we had to assemble two complete parts of the building (one with cladding and roofing) next to its location, then crane it (15-tonne packages). These two delicate assembly phases went off without a hitch.
BIM enabled a perfect synthesis between all the different parties involved. As the process was very dense, it enabled us to anticipate any conflicts and reduce project completion times (design/manufacture/installation).
Tekla Structures was used to design and model the framework, metalwork, roofing, cladding, gratings and all the finishing parts required.
Tekla Structures enabled us to better manage fasteners and the interlocking of the various parts of the building. Trimble Connect enabled our installation teams to visualize the structure in 3D in its environment, for more efficient assembly.
