Building construction

Packed with pressure, complexity, and massive scale, this 270,000-square-meter airport expansion, new control tower, and five-story passenger terminal demanded absolute precision. Using the Trimble X7, teams completed precise 3D indoor scans in just 2 to 3 minutes. Real-time comparisons of as-builts vs. plans accelerated layout accuracy, quality assurance, and collaboration—transforming the workflow and the entire outcome of this project.

Machine control

Sacyr Infrastructure leveraged Trimble Earthworks and cloud-based workflows to unlock real-time updates from the cloud to the cab, effortless machine-generated progress reports, and seamless communication from office to field. Trimble overlays digital models onto real terrain, giving machine operators instant, visual guidance—no stakes, no signal dropouts, no delays. Sacyr’s 20% production boost felt automatic.

From dirt to done—damn quick. When Carlos Ruiz Miranda stepped up to lead the massive rebuild of Jorge Chavez International Airport in Lima, Peru, he knew coordination and optimization weren’t optional—they were everything.
