Trimble announced today that Mercer Celgar’s pulp mill located in Castlegar, BC, Canada is moving to the Trimble CFX solution in order to modernize the way its chip truck operators generate load tickets. With a digital solution that works on mobile devices, Mercer Celgar Pulp LTD expects to gain greater confidence in data collected in the field and at the weigh scale.
CFX will replace paper ticket books. This will eliminate time spent correcting ticket errors and provide near real-time visibility into load transactions. Readily available access to load ticket data will speed decision-making and provide the ability for more analysis. The expectation is that this digital transformation will lead to greater efficiencies across the Mercer Celgar supply chain.
Mercer is committed to being leaders in the 21st-century bioeconomy by making full and efficient use of its valuable forest resources, supporting sustainability initiatives to enhance social, economic and environmental benefits for the communities in which it operates.
“We are pleased to join with Mercer Celgar in providing technology solutions that innovate the forestry sector, helping it to become more efficient and sustainable.” — Kevin Toohill, general manager of Trimble Forestry.
