In the ready mixed concrete industry, product delivery is critical. Concrete is a product that must be delivered on time, making efficient use of your fleet essential. Unscheduled idle time caused by delays at the job site, getting lost, or unauthorized stops can mean the difference between profit and loss on every delivery.

Dispatchers are constantly checking incoming customer orders against concrete production and delivery capacity. To effectively manage supply and demand, dispatchers need to know where the vehicle is located and what stage of the delivery cycle it is in. They can't always depend on accurate and timely updates from drivers.

The TrimView™ RM system is a fleet management solution designed specifically for the ready mixed concrete market. This fully automated system provides dispatchers with real-time knowledge of the exact location and status of each vehicle in your fleet-without driver involvement.

With accurate, real-time data available at all times, you always know where the vehicle is and what it's doing.
With accurate, real-time data available at all times, you always know where the vehicle is and what it's doing.

TrimView RM is a fully automated auto-status system created to help fleet managers and dispatchers receive vehicle location and status information in real-time without driver's intervention.

With TrimView RM mapping, messaging, and reporting applications, accurate and reliable information is delivered to the dispatcher allowing him to monitor and adjust each job schedule to better service the customer. From "begin loading" to "arrive plant", important events are captured, time-stamped, relayed in real-time, and recorded for historical review and reporting.

After viewing the location and status of each truck, the dispatcher can conduct two-way text messaging with the driver, and generate reports that help management analyze the overall operational efficiency of the fleet.

Traffic
With the minute-by-minute activities of your entire fleet -- displayable on a map and available as reports -- you have the complete picture you need for a variety of management purposes.

Reduce Unscheduled Idle Time - Analyzing time-stamped statuses collected by TrimView allows fleet managers to significantly reduce unscheduled idle time by monitoring for operational bottlenecks, traffic delays, or driver error.

Hassle-Free Communication with Drivers - An mobile data terminal allows dispatchers to remain in touch with vehicle operators with the push of a button.

Increase Safety - The DriveSafe add-on module allows dispatchers and managers to take a proactive approach towards fleet safety by detecting aggressive driving behaviors and creating driving scorecards. The results? Increased driver safety, prevented accidents, and reduced insurance costs, to name a few.

Integrate Data with Dispatching Systems - TrimView's optional integration server allows for easy incorporation with leading dispatch systems such as Command Alkon and Systech. Integrating dispatching and fleet management systems lead to increasing the efficiency of fleet operations.

Reduce Fuel Costs - With fuel costs rising, the need to eliminate unauthorized vehicle usage is more important that ever. TrimView keeps a record of where vehicles go with reliable date and time stamps, so fleet managers can address unauthorized usage with facts, not suspicions.

TrimView RM provides accurate, real-time data available at all times, so you always know where the vehicle is and what it's doing.

TrimView RM uses cellular and GPS technologies along with sensors installed on the vehicle to provide time-stamped status reports for the entire Ready Mix delivery cycle including:

  • Begin Loading
  • End Loading
  • Leave Plant
  • Arrive Job
  • Start Pour
  • End Pour
  • Begin Wash
  • End Wash
  • Depart Job
  • Arrive Plant

Details of every stage of the delivery loop cycle provided by the system can help you identify key areas where incremental gains in efficiency - when applied to an entire fleet - can mean quantum gains in your organization's performance and capability.

This state-of-the-art, scalable solution provides advanced functionality for fleet operators and can be configured to run in client/server mode or via the Internet. What's more, TrimView's integration server allows industry standard incorporation with other enterprise systems such as dispatching or ERP.

Crosscheck® 1900

The CrossCheck® 1900 Mobile unit is a key component of Trimble's TrimView RM auto-status solution. The unit integrates a Global Positioning System (GPS) receiver, wireless modem, and specific ready mix firmware logic into a single, low-profile enclosure that is securely mounted in each vehicle. The CrossCheck provides position and wireless communications, and the optional Mobile Data Terminal (MDT) provides driver messaging capabilities.

While the GPS technology continuously determines the vehicle's location, other truck-mounted sensors connect to the CrossCheck to comprise an on-board system that automatically monitors and reports vehicle status with location and time stamps. These statuses are communicated wirelessly via either the GPRS or IDEN network depending on the customer's needs.

  • Drum Rotation Sensor » automatically measures the rotational speed, direction and rotation count.
  • Wash-Out Sensor » signals when the truck is being washed out.
  • Water-Add Meter » measures total water added to the mix which helps to validate quality.
  • Ignition On/Off

Echo LDX Mobile Data Terminal (MDT)

This Mobile Data Terminal (MDT) device enables bi-directional canned and free-form messaging between the driver and dispatch. The driver can easily read text messages received from dispatch and send pre-defined response messages, by simply pushing a button. All messages are date and time stamped for future validation.
