With increased pressure on land and space in cities, the renovation of existing buildings is becoming more and more common. In order to successfully renovate and also protect the structural integrity of existing buildings, it is important to have accurate plans of the building including the interior spaces. And in many instances little or no data exists.

The Direct Reflex (DR) EDM technology from Trimble's Integrated Surveying solutions allows for the precise surveying of building facades and interior spaces. Using the Trimble 3600 and 5600 Total Stations combined with powerful field and office software, surveyors can easily and quickly recreate building plans to retain historical records as well as allow for the renovation of the spaces for changing needs.
