State of the Art Positioning Instruments for Tunneling

With its advanced FineLock technology, Trimble S8 Total Station enables high-precision 1", 1mm+1ppm measurements even to targets placed closely together as often needed when taking measurements down a tunnel. A special tunneling model of the Trimble S8 also includes a high power laser pointer to assist in marking areas of over or undercut. In addition to typical measurement and stakeout capabilities, the Trimble VX Spacial Station offers 3D scanning for collecting many points quickly, ideal for as-built surveys. For more detailed and denser point cloud data, the Trimble GX 3D Scanner takes surface scanning to the next level.
