Use this utility program to check, and optionally set, the interpolation basis for a selected geoid model (*.ggf) file. The geoid model interpolation method, held in the geoid model ggf file, can be set to be based on the WGS-84 (Global) ellipsoid or the local ellipsoid. When the geoid model is used in a coordinate system definition the system will use the flag stored in the geoid model to determine how the geoid model interpolation should be carried out.

To use the Geoid Model Configuration utility program:

1. Download 'GeoidModelConfig.zip' and unzip the utility program to a convenient folder
2. Run the utility program using the Browse button to select the appropriate geoid model

The geoid model's interpolation method will be displayed and you can change the method if necessary.

Note: Trimble Access Version 2011.00 and Survey Controller Version 12.47 and later, perform geoid model interpolation based on the setting within the geoid model file. In all previous versions of the software the interpolation of all geoid models was always based on the WGS-84 (Global) ellipsoid.
