All Trimble GPS Pathfinder security keys are activated at the factory specifically for each license/software package purchased. There are two types of activation disks: (1) empty disks and (2) disks with one upgrade activation on them. The empty activation disk is used to transfer the activations from one key to another. To set up a Super CBS, you will first need to obtain and install PFCBS, DESQview, PCBoard, and Pkware; all but the Community Base Station are non-Trimble products. Trimble will supply batch files to run the Super CBS. Note that both these instructions and the batch files are offered as-is, with limited support. Trimble does not assume any warranty or liability from their use. Trimble does, however, offer a turnkey Super CBS (P/N 18440-00 network and 18440-10 modem), which is fully supported. This product comes with the CBS receiver, antenna, cables, and a pre-loaded and pre-configured computer.
