Mapping and GIS Product Compatibility List(ProdCompMatrix_17April2013.pdf - 3830 KB)This document outlines the compatibility between Trimble field devices, versions of Trimble field software, versions of the GPS Pathfinder Office software and Microsoft Windows operating systems.
GPS Pathfinder Office & GPS Analyst: Data Fails to Differentially Correct Due to Missing Base Data (Satellite PRN32 Data Missing from Base File)(MGIS_SprtNote_PFO_PRN32_LegacyFieldSoftware.pdf - 181 KB)When differentially correcting your data in the Trimble GPS Pathfinder Office software or the GPS Analyst extension for ESRI ArcGIS Desktop software, your data may fail to correct, with an error stating this is due to missing base data even though you have 100% coverage by the base station files. This may occur if you have not logged SuperCorrect data in the rover file and the rover has tracked satellite PRN32, but the base station has not. This Support Note describes the issue and how to avoid it.
OmniSTAR MSV North America (Eastern, Central, and Western USA) Satellite: New Frequencies(MGIS_SprtNote_OmniStar_MSV.pdf - 187 KB)OmniSTAR is changing the frequency for the North American satellite, MSV (Western, Central, and Eastern USA), on which it broadcasts corrections. If you use a Trimble receiver in North America that is able to track OmniSTAR satellites, you must update the data collection software to track the new frequencies. OmniSTAR is currently broadcasting corrections on both old and new frequencies. This dual-broadcast will continue through until 20 June 2008 for Eastern and Western, and until 20 August 2008 for Central. Users may change the frequencies they track at any time before that date, but Trimble advises that you do it as soon as possible.
OmniSTAR AMSC (Western, Central, and Eastern USA) Satellite: New Frequencies(MGIS_SprtNote_Omnistar_AMSC.pdf - 170 KB)OmniSTAR is changing the frequency for the North American satellite, AMSC (Western, Central, and Eastern USA), on which it broadcasts corrections. If you use an OmniSTAR-capable receiver in North America, you must update the data collection software to track the new frequencies. This Support Note provides details on how to do this.
OmniSTAR AF-SAT (Central + South Africa) Satellite: New Frequency and Data Rate(SprtNote_MGIS_Omnistar_AFSAT.pdf - 164 KB)OmniSTAR is changing the frequency and baud rate for the African satellite, AF-SAT (Central + South Africa), on which it broadcasts corrections. If you use an OmniSTAR-capable receiver in Africa, south of the Sahara, you must update the data collection software to track the new frequency.
Setting up Real-Time Kinematic GPS Data Collection Using ASPEN v.2.11 Software(rtksetup.pdf - 19 KB)This TIP explains how to set up real-time kinematic (RTK) GPS data collection using ASPEN software version 2.11. Radios are used.
How to Install a Trimble PCMCIA Mobile GPS PC Card Receiver Under Windows 95(triminf.pdf - 172 KB)All three-channel PCMCIA cards need the driver TRIMBLE.INF to install correctly under Microsoft Windows 95. This TIP includes instructions for using the driver TRIMBLE.INF to correctly install the Mobile GPS PC Card Receiver under Windows 95, as well as how to reinstall it if necessary. The Mobile GPS PC Card Receiver comes with the ASPEN? Card System and with Direct GPS? for ArcView.
How to Find GPS Pathfinder Software and Firmware Version Numbers in Your Software, Datalogger, and Data Files(version.pdf - 28 KB)Sometimes, you may need to know the version of GPS Pathfinder? software and/or firmware you are using on your PC, datalogger, and/or receiver. You may also need to know what firmware version was used to record a particular data file. This TIP includes instructions for locating the GPS Pathfinder software and/or firmware version numbers.
How to Install or Upgrade Security Device Drivers for Running Some Trimble Mapping and GIS Systems Software under Windows NT(ntkey1.pdf - 19 KB)Trimble software products cannot be run under Microsoft Windows NT until drivers for the security device are installed. This TIP includes instructions for upgrading or installing the drivers for most Trimble Mapping and GIS Systems software products, including ASPEN®, GPS Pathfinder? Community Base Station, GPS Pathfinder Office®, PFINDER®, Phase Processor software, and for the utilities: MCORR300, MCORR400, RNXSSF, and SSFRNX
Resolving Communication Errors between the GPS Receiver and Field Software(SprtNote_ProXR-XRS_Communications.pdf - 28 KB)To ensure your GPS Pathfinder® Pro XR or Pro XRS receiver communicates correctly with your data collection or data maintenance software, you must use a version of the field software that is compatible with the GPS receiver's embedded software version. This Support Note outlines compatibilities between field software versions and the different embedded software versions of the Pro XR and Pro XRS receivers.
GPS Pathfinder Office and ASPEN Software: Creating a Local Site(MGIS_SprtNote_Pfoffice_CreatingLocalSites.pdf - 180 KB)This document describes how to create a local site in the Trimble GPS Pathfinder Office or ASPEN software by using Options / Create Local Site.
