Geoid Model Application: Changes(HH_SprtNote_GeoidModelAppChanges_19100.pdf - 157 KB)Trimble geoid models (.ggf files) have always been applied based on using global (WGS-84) positions for interpolation, and have used the global (WGS-84) height values for application of the interpolated geoidal separations. Customers have requested that TrimbleŽ systems are able to handle both global (WGS-84) and local ellipsoid based geoid models. This means that Trimble must be able to set up individual geoid models as either global (WGS-84) or local ellipsoid based models so that the coordinate system routines then know how to work with them.
