Dr. Robert S. Cooper, Trimble's Chairman, passed away on July 2, 2007.

Since joining the Board of Directors in 1989, Dr. Cooper was an active contributor during some of the company's most formative years. He consistently represented a unique combination of dignity, integrity and a visionary's belief in the benefits of technology. Dr. Cooper was a trusted and valued Board member who established a standard of excellence for Trimble.

Dr. Cooper's extensive list of accomplishments, which embraced governmental service as well as business leadership, is impressive for its breadth and for the importance of his contributions. We will miss Dr. Cooper's many contributions to the company as well as his friendship and inherent kindness. Our heartfelt sympathies go out to his family, colleagues and friends.
