Ionosphere Scintillation Map

Ionosphere Scintillation refers to the irregularities in the ionosphere caused by space weather. Ionosphere scintillation follows the 'solar cycle' which is affected by maximum sunspot activity. Scintillation affects GNSS signals, therefore causing irregularities and fluctuations that result in errors — the higher the level of scintillation, the greater the errors.

The map below shows the latest image of Ionosphere Scintillation values and is updated every five minutes.
