Trimble CenterPoint RTX – Standard Initialization for Construction

Trimble CenterPoint RTX – Standard Initialization for Construction
Highlights

Benefits:

  • Correction service delivered via satellite – no base station or additional hardware needed.
  • High-accuracy - Provides horizontal accuracy of 4 cm (1.6 inches)* and vertical accuracy of 9 cm (3.5 inches).
  • Good initialization - CenterPoint RTX Standard converges to full accuracy in 30 minutes or less.**
  • More uptime – Continue working during times of correction signal loss for up to two minutes.
  • Seamless switching - ensures that there are smooth transitions when the system switches to the xFill function and then back to RTK once the corrections are restored.

* All horizontal accuracy specifications are based on repeatable in-field performance 95% of the time.

** Receiver convergence time varies based on GNSS constellation health, level of multipath, and proximity to obstructions such as large trees and buildings. In ideal conditions, receivers can converge to a 30cm position in approximately 10 minutes, 20cm in 15 minutes, and full accuracy in less than 30 minutes.

Sub-centimeter accuracy anywhere in the world

Trimble® CenterPoint™ RTX™ delivers GNSS enabled, repeatable 4 cm (1.6 inches) and vertical accuracy of 9 cm (3.5 inches) corrections to your receiver anywhere in the world. Available via satellite delivery, CenterPoint RTX Standard converges to the full accuracy in 30 minutes or less. Positions may also be used much sooner at a lower accuracy level—the user decides. CenterPoint RTX corrections can be delivered directly to the built-in receiver of your SPS855, SPS985, SPS985L or BX982 receiver.

CenterPoint RTX Standard delivered via satellite is the most accurate satellite-delivered correction service available. It doesn't require an RTK base station or cellular service and is available throughout North America, South America, most of Europe, Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), Africa, Asia and Australasia.

  • Initial site reconnaissance
  • Pre-bid data collection for estimation and take-off
  • Ground truthing site plans and finding potential errors
  • Feature location
  • Rough staking for bulk earthworks
  • Materials management away from base station

Now available in North America, South America, most of Europe, Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), Africa, Asia and Australasia.

CenterPoint RTX Standard Satellite Map

Trimble CenterPoint RTX correction service is powered by Trimble RTX technology. CenterPoint RTX leverages real-time data from a global tracking station network along with innovative positioning and compression algorithms to compute and relay satellite orbit, satellite clock, and other system adjustments to the receiver, resulting in the real time high accuracies. These adjustments are transmitted to the receiver via satellite (where coverage is available) and via IP (Internet Protocol) worldwide.

Satellite Delivery

When turned on, your receiver tracks the RTX (L-band) satellite as well as every other satellite in its field of view (including GPS, GLONASS, and QZSS). From the L-band satellite, you will receive the RTX correction stream that allows you to calculate your position in real time.
