Software development kit for seamless GNSS integration
Built to work with a range of reliable and accurate Trimble® GNSS receivers the Trimble GPS Pathfinder® Field Toolkit gives developers the best of both worlds: leading edge GNSS technology with the flexibility to develop your own custom field software applications. The Toolkit can be used to develop applications for standard Microsoft® Windows® platforms, including Microsoft Windows Mobile® software. This flexibility enables the development of powerful GNSS-based applications that operate on laptops and Tablet PCs, as well as low cost handheld devices. Drawing on Trimble's leading-edge GNSS technology and the company's decades of experience in the GIS data collection industry, the GPS Pathfinder Field Toolkit provides a complete GPS development environment. The Trimble GPS Pathfinder Field Toolkit is an extensive library of COM components which can be easily integrated within 32-bit development environments such as Microsoft Visual Studio®. The GNSS receiver component handles all communications between the GNSS receiver and the application, including the configuration of real-time differential correction sources. Coordinate transformation and unit conversion components are also included. If you want to be sure of getting the best quality data, your application can record GNSS information for postprocessing with Trimble GPS Pathfinder Office software or Trimble GPS Analyst™ extension for Esri ArcGIS for Desktop software. You can differentially correct your data back in the office, use real-time differential GNSS, or both—the choice is yours. Using Trimble H-Star™ technology you can achieve up to decimeter (10 cm / 4 inch) accuracy (dependent on H-Star-capable receiver and antenna combination, and correction source used). Alternatively, with a Trimble GeoXT™ 6000 series, Geo 5T, or Juno® series handheld, or a Pro 6T receiver, you can achieve optimal GNSS postprocessing accuracy with Trimble DeltaPhase™ technology.
