Installation Instructions
Trimble Nomad - v2.1 WLAN Driver Update(NomadWLAN_2.1.zip - 142 KB)This file installs the WLAN driver update on your Trimble Nomad handheld. This driver will need to be re-installed in the case of resetting the device to factory defaults.

New Features
  • Nomad no longer loses a known-good WEP key. Previously when the WEP key was lost, the user was promoted to re-enter the key, and if done incorrectly, the Access Point (AP) (and its settings) may have been removed from the preferred network list.
  • WLAN no longer gets into a state where it continuously shows "Connecting" , even when attempting to connect to a different AP. This could only previously be fixed by resetting the Nomad handheld.
  • When multiple APs exist with the same SSID, Nomad will now connect to the AP with the strongest signal.
