Trimble Releases Feedback and Internet Outage Maps for Electric Utilities
SUNNYVALE, Calif., Nov. 11, 2013—Trimble (NASDAQ: TRMB) announced today its Trimble® Feedback and Trimble Outage Map version 13.2 for energy distribution utilities.
Trimble Feedback is an easy-to-use Web-based system that provides a communication channel between a utility and its customers and interest groups. The solution supports the complete feedback management process from sending observations of an environment or other concerns to the system as well as managing and publishing feedback data by the utility or authority responsible. With 24/7 availability, time-stamped submissions can be easily monitored, assigned to a person within the organization, and resolved while keeping the contributing party informed.
"Trimble Feedback enables utility customers to report issues with an Internet service 24/7 and also provides efficient processing of the feedback received. Automated responses keep utility customers informed of the progress and reduce the need to call customer service directly," said Matti Syyrakki, business area director of Trimble's Energy Utilities Division, North America. "With Trimble Feedback utilities can improve the quality of customer service, increase customer service efficiency, and improve response times for customer inquiries."
Trimble Outage Map provides a solution that allows electricity distribution utilities to publish an Internet outage map for customers. The service shows the general location of outages, estimated restoration time and statistical information about the outage situation. Version 13.2 introduces a new technology platform with a richer user interface and works with Trimble's Distribution Management System (DMS) and Trimble UtilityCenter® solutions. The information serves customers as well as the media in case of a major outage. Readily available, up-to-date information improves customer service and satisfaction.
Trimble Feedback and Outage Map version 13.2 are available now through Trimble's Energy Utilities Division.
