Trimble Introduces New Laser Tools for the Interior Construction Market
The announcement was made today at the STAFDA (Specialty Tools & Fasteners Distributors Association) Annual Convention and Trade Show. Designed to handle a wide range of interior construction applications, these rugged laser layout tools offer several benefits to general and interior contractors, electricians, plumbers and a variety of tradesmen. All products deliver cost-effective consistency and reliability, enabling users to increase productivity and reduce costs. For interior building and remodeling, the lasers can be used for horizontal and vertical alignment, wall layout, point transfer up and down, wall and floor tiling, finish carpentry, and 90 degree squaring. All the products have been designed with durability in mind. A protective over molding provides drop protection. They can survive a drop of up to 1 meter (3 feet) on concrete and feature IP54 moisture and dust sealing. Due to the lasers' durability, repairs should be minimal which is important to contractors. In addition, the units incorporate intuitive operator controls so there is virtually no training required. The LP30 and LP50 Laser Pointers are expected to be available in November 2010 through Trimble's Construction Tools Dealer Network.
