Trimble Introduces New CrossLine Laser Tool
The announcement was made today at the STAFDA (Specialty Tools & Fasteners Distributors Association) Annual Convention and Trade Show.
Designed to handle a wide range of interior layout and alignment applications, the rugged laser tool offers several benefits to general, interior and specialty contractors.
The 1.3XL features a line accuracy of +/- 1.5 mm @ 5 m (+/-1/16 in @ 17 ft). The unit incorporates intuitive operator controls so there is virtually no training required. The visible interior range is up to 30 meters (100 feet). With a receiver the range can be increased up to 75 meters (250 feet). The 1.3XL is designed to survive a drop of up to 1 meter (3 feet) on concrete due to its drop protection design and a protective over molding. The unit also features IP54 moisture and dust sealing to handle the tough construction environment.
The 1.3XL is versatile, capable of handling interior horizontal, vertical or plumb positioning applications - anywhere that a carpenter's level or plumb bob would normally be used. Applications include ceiling and drywall installation, framing of doors and windows, up and down point transfer, tile and flooring layout, leveling of cabinets, interior finishing work, plumb, squaring and layout for all trades.
The 1.3XL CrossLine Generator is expected to be available in early December 2010 through Trimble's Construction Tools Dealer Network.
