Trimble Vice President to Become President of Wheeling Jesuit University
SUNNYVALE, Calif., Oct. 25, 2010 — Trimble (NASDAQ: TRMB) announced that Richard Beyer will leave the company at the end of this year to become the president of Wheeling Jesuit University. Currently, Beyer is the vice president responsible for the majority of operations constituting Trimble's Mobile Solutions segment.
"Since Rick joined Trimble in 2004 he has been the key participant in the development of our mobile solutions capability. He leaves behind a strong team and market position. Rick has had a long standing interest in higher education and this second career opportunity allows him to pursue that interest full time. We wish him well," said Steven W. Trimble applies technology to make field and mobile workers in businesses and government significantly more productive. Solutions are focused on applications requiring position or location—including surveying, construction, agriculture, fleet and asset management, public safety and mapping. In addition to utilizing positioning technologies, such as GPS, lasers and optics, Trimble solutions may include software content specific to the needs of the user.
