Trimble Showcases New Software for European Survey Markets
STUTTGART, Germany, Oct. 13, 2004 -- Trimble (NASDAQ: TRMB) today introduced a software package specially designed for the European survey markets. Based on the popular DCTools software from Trimble GeoNav, Trimble® Survey ManagerTM software is a flexible, easy-to-use software with both office and field modules for the acquisition, processing, and documentation of real-time surveys.
The announcement was made today at Intergeo 2004, the largest European conference on geodesy, geoinformatics and land management.
Trimble Survey Manager field module runs on Windows 98, 2000, XP and Windows CE, enabling surveyors to carry out field operations on the platform which best suits their requirements. The software is designed to run on Trimble's robust field computers: the TSCeTM, ACU, and the Trimble ReconTM controller. The software package is compatible with both Trimble GPS and optical systems and delivers complete control over measurement sensors and field survey procedures.
The new Trimble Survey Manager software provides specific support for data collection in land cadastral, utilities and Geographic Information System (GIS) applications in Germany and throughout Europe, producing results documented in accordance with official standards. With official reference coordinates from the German Survey Administration onboard, including SAPOS and ascos support, implementation of DFLBF and DFHBF ensures that data acquisition, processing and documentation follows standards required by public survey administrations.
Trimble Survey Manager software is expected to be available November 15, 2004 through Trimble's Geomatics and Engineering dealer network in Europe.
