Trimble Introduces T-Ticket Mobile Citation Software for Law Enforcement
Wireless-Enabled, Rugged Handheld Computer with Citation Writing Software Integrates with
Law Enforcement Databases for Improved Speed, Accuracy
MIAMI, Sept. 26, 2005 -- today introduced T-Ticket™ mobile citation software bundled with the Trimble® Recon® rugged handheld computer. T-Ticket software streamlines and improves the accuracy of the citation process. It allows officers in the field to query national and regional databases wirelessly for automatic completion of violator information.
The announcement was made today at the 112th Annual Conference of the International Association of Chiefs of Police.
T-Ticket gives police officers a complete package with intuitive software, a field-proven, rugged handheld and wireless connectivity. It automates routine tasks to save officers time, reduce errors and eliminate paperwork.
Featuring easy-to-use, step-by-step screens and auto-fill fields, T-Ticket software helps police officers write tickets faster and more accurately. Officers can use T-Ticket's wireless connection to query regional and national databases to auto-complete much of the citation information. They can also check on a person's outstanding tickets or warrants, run a license plate check and upload the completed citations to the police department's database.
Trimble's Recon handheld computer provides an ideal handheld computing platform for T-Ticket mobile citation software. The Recon is designed for reliable performance in outdoor environments. It meets MIL-STD-810F military standards for drops, vibration and temperature extremes. It is also impervious to water and dust with an IP67 rating. The Recon's color touchscreen is bright and sharp, and T-Ticket includes both day and night setting for clear visibility. The Recon weighs just 17 ounces, its rounded edges provide a comfortable grip, and it comes with a 15-hour rechargeable NiMH battery.
Trimble developed T-Ticket with input from police departments and the Portland Police Bureau in Oregon served as a beta test site.
The Trimble T-Ticket mobile citation software is available now.
