SUNNYVALE, Calif., July 19, 2001 - Trimble (NASDAQ:TRMB) announced today that its AcutimeTM 2000 Synchronization Kit can now be purchased online at trimblestore.com/timing. The Acutime 2000 Synchronization Kit is a high-performance, cost-effective reference time source that precisely synchronizes computers, servers and Internet applications using Global Positioning System (GPS) technology.

"GPS timing - which provides the precision of an atomic clock for a fraction of the cost - is playing a critical role in the expansion of wireless networks and global data communications," said Dennis Workman, vice president and general manager of Trimble's Component Technologies Division. "By making our popular Acutime 2000 Synchronization Kit available for purchase online, Trimble offers customers a convenient and secure alternative to complement traditional sales channels."
