Metrix and Trimble Partner to Expand Solutions for Mobile Resource Management

SUNNYVALE, Calif. and MILWAUKEE, Wis., April 9, 2008 — Trimble (NASDAQ: TRMB), a leading provider of end-to-end Mobile Resource Management (MRM) solutions, and Metrix, a service management software vendor, today announced that they are working together to provide comprehensive field service automation solutions to companies worldwide.

The collaboration includes co-marketing and joint selling initiatives giving both companies a broader portfolio of products to offer new and existing customers. Metrix will benefit by leveraging Trimble's Global Positioning System (GPS), wireless, and mobile field service capabilities. Conversely, Trimble will leverage Metrixs customer service, schedule optimization, and reverse logistics functionality.

"Metrix is an industry leader in field service automation and we are excited about the synergies," said Cyndee Hoagland, general manager for Trimbles mobile worker solutions. "Our MRM solutions for field service can deliver impressive results solving real problems facing service organizations today, and with Metrix, we can give customers additional options for improving field productivity, increasing service level agreement (SLA) compliance and cutting travel and other costs."

"Both Trimble and Metrix are SOA-compliant and build on the .NET framework," said Tom Bowe, vice president of product engineering at Metrix. "We believe partnering with Trimble will significantly benefit current and future customers looking for end-to-end service automation."
