SUNNYVALE, Calif., March 30, 2000 -- Trimble Navigation Limited (NASDAQ:TRMB) today announced the decision to open an additional facility in Westminster, Colorado. The Westminster facility, located in the Denver-Boulder corridor, will focus on the strategic development of the Architecture, Engineering, Construction (AEC) and the Mapping & Geographic Information Systems (GIS) markets. It is expected that the Trimble Rockies Office, opening in Quarter 3, 2000, will initially house approximately 40 employees with significant expansion expected in the future.

We believe this move will enable us to better achieve the substantial growth we foresee in these markets," said Steven W. Berglund, Trimble's president and CEO. "Westminster, Colorado is an excellent location for the Trimble Rockies Office with its access to a high technology workforce, substantial construction market activity and desirable living conditions for our employees."

A Letter of Intent to lease 29,000 square feet in the Church Ranch Office Center in Westminster, Colorado was signed today. Terms of the leasing contract were not disclosed.
