Trimble Introduces Model 1422 Laser System
New 1422 Offers Contractors and Do-It-Yourselfers Value-Priced Solution
LAS VEGAS, Feb. 27, 2001- Trimble (NASDAQ:TRMB) today introduced the new Model 1422, a rotating laser system designed for general contractors and do-it-yourselfers looking for a value-priced solution for leveling, alignment and layout.
The announcement was made today at the World of Concrete Exposition.
For interior projects such as setting window supports, checking counter and cupboard elevations and wall layout, and for exterior projects such as setting and checking footings and foundations, the Model 1422 offers a tool for increased accuracy and reduced rework. Available at an economical price, the 1422 provides quick return on investment by eliminating the need for manual levels, stringlines, chalklines and other conventional leveling methods.
"At Trimble, our goal is to offer customers of any size the tools they need for improved productivity and accuracy on the jobsite," said Laura Stevens, interior segment manager for Trimble's Engineering and Construction Division. "The addition of the 1422 to Trimble's laser family allows us to offer a more comprehensive portfolio of solutions for every application."
Trimble's 1422 comes with key product features including a split beam prism, which enables point transfer and 90-degree layout, as well as variable rotation speed and beam scan, which allow for a brighter beam when necessary. Set up is fast and easy and allows for configurations for stand-alone, interior and general construction, meaning the contractor can set the laser to the specific job application. The 1422 also comes with a waterproof housing, allowing for both indoor and outdoor use.
The Model 1422 comes complete with red laser beam-enhancing glasses, a wall mount, batteries and carrying case.
The Model 1422 is now available through Trimble's Engineering and Construction Division dealer network. For product information, contact the Trimble Customer Support Group at 800-538-7800 or 937-233-8921 or via FAX at 937-233-9441.
