Trimble Announces New Data Capture and Analyst Software Version to
Significant improvements to the solution include:
"Panoramic imagery using the Trimble G360 camera is a major step forward for mobile mapping and videolog systems," said Daniel Desgagné, Geo-3D Business Area Manager, GeoSpatial Division of Trimble. "The Trimble G360 camera provides users with more than eleven and a half million pixels with every image, a vast improvement to the three million pixels found in many comparable systems. The ability to view, geoposition and measure from imagery in any direction from a vehicle opens up new application possibilities and has a direct impact on traditional project productivity as it can substantially shorten data acquisition timeframes and reduce project costs." About Trimble's GeoSpatial Division Trimble's GeoSpatial Division comprises the acquisitions of Geo-3D Inc., RolleiMetric, TopoSys GmbH, and Inpho GmbH. The GeoSpatial Division's portfolio of solutions enables mobile mapping companies to capture georeferenced data, extract features and attributes, and analyze conditions and change, thereby generating information to better manage assets and operations. Aerial LIDAR / Imaging Systems and vehicle-based asset inventory systems, combined with powerful photogrammetry software, generate high accuracy as-built drawings for the transportation, utilities, and energy transmission & distribution industries. As part of the Trimble Connected Site solutions, high accuracy as-builts enable advanced process and workflow integration from the design phase through construction to the subsequent maintenance phase—delivering significant improvements in productivity. About Trimble Trimble applies technology to make field and mobile workers in businesses and governments significantly more productive. Solutions are focused on applications requiring position or location—including surveying, construction, agriculture, fleet and asset management, public safety and mapping. In addition to utilizing positioning technologies, such as GPS, lasers and optics, Trimble solutions may include software content specific to the needs of the user. Wireless technologies are utilized to deliver the solution to the user and to ensure a tight coupling of the field and the back office. Founded in 1978, Trimble is headquartered in Sunnyvale, Calif.
