Trimble Construction LIVE — More than Machine Control 2010
SUNNYVALE, Calif., Jan. 19, 2010 — Trimble (NASDAQ:TRMB) today announced an opportunity for contractors to explore in-depth the latest Trimble® Site Positioning technology at its Trimble Construction LIVE — More than Machine Control 2010 events. Those attending will have the chance to see, touch and evaluate products and systems, as well as meet with company experts.
There will be a total of 19 events across Europe scheduled during the first quarter of 2010. These hands-on educational events were first launched two years ago for heavy and highway earthmoving contractors in Poland and the U.K.—one event had about 300 attendees. Since then, events have also been held in Spain and Western Australia.
The events planned for the first quarter of 2010 will focus on the Trimble Site Positioning Systems for construction surveyors, civil engineers, data managers, site supervisors and others on the jobsite involved in positioning, measuring and checking.
The task-oriented Trimble Site Positioning Systems are designed for initial site measurement and verification as well as for topographic site surveys, computing material stockpiles and volumes, establishing stake-out points, and executing as-built site measurements.
Trimble Construction LIVE — More than Machine Control will provide attendees hands-on educational experience with the products. A variety of interactive workshops will give first-hand knowledge of the benefits of adding technology to transform the contractors work to improve productivity.
The events consist of one full day, divided into a presentation segment and a hands-on, practical session, where attendees will learn how Trimble technology can save machine time, fuel, and material. For more information on these productivity gains, contractors can refer to the industry studies located at: www.trimble-productivity.com.
Events will begin in the U.K. in February and will be held at various locations throughout Europe until early Spring 2010. Visit the Trimble Construction LIVE — More than Machine Control Website for dates, locations, and for registration information: www.trimbleconstructionlive.com.
