The Trimble Satellite Modem offers companies that operate in remote locations the additional connectivity they need. Currently, the standard practice when vehicles are out of the cellular coverage area is to automatically store any data captured, then forward the data when coverage becomes available again. In these situations, Satellite Modem goes into operation automatically.

The Trimble Satellite Modem is an advanced communications device that gives companies complete 24x7 coverage when cellular connections are unavailable. Satellite Modem, with hardware from EMS Technologies, is an optional feature of the Trimble GeoManager SM iLM® solution that , providing cost-effective, real-time position data, two-way messaging and electronic driver logs that gets you the information you need, when you need it, wherever your vehicles go.
