Grade Control

Flexible positioning systems for grade control in mining operations

Grade control, or elevation control, is a never-ending process. You must constantly move material to form a certain grade. The proper grade must be maintained at all times.

Positioning systems jointly developed by Trimble and Caterpillar partners and distributed by Caterpillar offer reliable and flexible solutions for critical support work. Graphical and textual cut/fill information provided to the operator eliminate the need for most survey staking.

The Terrain for grading combines GPS positions with an onboard display for the machine operator and wireless IP communications between the machine and the office.
