Trimble FastMap Video Surveyor System

Trimble® FastMap™ Video Surveyor system combines a vehicle-mounted video camera and GNSS for the rapid field data capture of street scene inventory with a powerful office based 'digitization' software to provide a complete end to end solution for the GIS data capture and digitization of highway assets and defects.

The Trimble FastMap Video Surveyor system allows rapid 'capture' of any features from the video, in the safety and comfort of an office environment, and provides all the tools necessary to export into your GIS.

Key features:

Vehicle system configuration

A GNSS receiver connected to a tablet computer and a HD video camera mounted in a vehicle to automatically record synchronized data. The operator can start the system when stationary and drive the required route at any legal speed with complete hands free-use and the Tablet Computer can be mounted to display a predefined route.

The high resolution video camera records directly to the internal hard disk of the camera, allowing up to 20 hours of survey to be captured before 'downloading'. Multiple cameras can be used to capture a wide angle of view, including front and rear facing cameras.

Office system functionality

Video(s) can be replayed with a real-time positional display, video streams can be fast forwarded, or single frame stepped. When assets are identified, a number of frames are used to locate the item, when it is then recorded (with full attribute lists) in the Trimble FastMap Video Surveyor systems' own database. When 'jobs' are completed they can be exported to variety of GIS systems.
