Seamlessly integrate a digital camera into your field data collection workflow
The Trimble® TrimPix™ Pro system provides the tools to take high-resolution photos with a digital camera and wirelessly transfer them in real-time to a Trimble Windows Mobile handheld for seamless integration into your field data collection workflow.

The system is the simple, convenient, and cost effective way to add high resolution digital photography to any field data workflow.

Photographs in the field data collection workflow
Digital photos are increasingly being used to record the details of infrastructure assets and incidents while collecting information in the field.

In fact, photographs are often required documentation as part of government or industry regulations, or as proof of contract completion.

However, to make the field data collection process as efficient as possible, photos must be integrated with other asset information at the time of capture to insure proper attribution, review image quality, and prevent errors that can occur when processed back in the office.

Adding photos as part of the field workflow can save time, minimize future site visits, and support analysis and decision making both in the field and back in the office.

Wirelessly transfer photographs to Trimble handhelds powered by the Windows Mobile 6 (or later) operating system
Comprised of an Eye-Fi Pro card and the TrimPix Pro software, the TrimPix Pro system is compact and cost-effective. Use the TrimPix Pro Configuration Center software, which is installed on your desktop computer, to configure the Eye-Fi Pro card and deploy the TrimPix Pro software onto multiple Trimble handhelds. Then simply take a photo with your digital camera and it is wirelessly transferred to your handheld.

Seamlessly link photographs to features with Trimble TerraSync software
When used with Trimble TerraSync™ software, the TrimPix Pro system automatically transfers photos to be used as additional attributes to any geographic feature, simply by taking and selecting photos as part of the TerraSync software data collection process.

Choose camera specifications to suit the specific field workflow and environment
With the TrimPix Pro system, any brand and specification of camera can be used for desired zoom, resolution and image quality, as long as it supports an SDHC card. This flexibility allows you to match the right camera to different types of field work. For example, recording identification information on an electricity pole may require a high-resolution 8 megapixel camera with zoom capability to capture the details, while simply documenting inspection of a field asset may only require a basic camera for an overview photograph of the scene.

Check and validate linked photographs in real-time
A key feature of the TrimPix Pro system is that photos are transferred from the camera to the handheld immediately after they are taken, allowing you to confirm that the image is linked properly and the quality is acceptable before moving to the next field asset. This real-time access minimizes the effort spent in the field capturing multiple images and eliminates the back-office work previously required to process the images in bulk. The result is a much more streamlined workflow that can save a significant amount of time and effort for every field worker.
