The Schneider Corporation is a multi-discipline geospatial consulting firm. Based in Indianapolis, and with offices in Charlotte, NC and Ames, IA, we have over 300 professionals who assist our clients with the implementation of enterprise-wide GIS and mapping solutions. Business partnerships with Trimble, ESRI, Azteca Systems, and Geocomm give us the capability to bring the best-of-breed products and services to the table for our state and local government clients in the areas of land records management, public safety, and public works. For example, this includes the deployment of mobile GIS applications typically configured with Trimble and ESRI hardware and software to collect assets in the field. These assets can be signs, bridges, pavement, or even site addresses. Collection of a community's assets using Trimble equipment forms a core component of a complete GIS solution for our clients.

  • Hamilton Southeastern Utilities, Fishers, Indiana
As-built surveying of newly constructed sanitary sewer infrastructure using Trimble equipment and uploading of data to their GIS. This project also includes a custom web-based GIS application that helps them to locate existing infrastructure using Trimble handheld equipment, saving the utility half-a-million dollars per year.
  • Town of Avon, Indiana
Using Trimble handheld equipment and custom ESRI mobile GIS software technology, Schneider has surveyed the Town's entire road network to identify and locate all problems and conditions of the pavement. This information will become the basis for a pavement management system that integrates GIS and asset management technology.
  • Wells County, Indiana
Trimble equipment, including GeoXT™ handhelds and range finders, combined with ESRI ArcGIS software technology, was used to locate and identify every building in the county for a 911 mapping project that included field verification of all addresses.
  • Indiana Department of Transportation
GeoXTs with customized ArcPad software applications form the backbone of a major statewide deployment of field collection technology. INDOT is collecting all their major assets across the State and replacing an antiquated asset inventory with current field mapping, loaded into an ArcSDE geodatabase environment centralized in Indianapolis.
