v2.03 - GeoExplorer 2008 series, GPS Firmware(GeoExplorer 2008 series v2.03 GPS Firmware.exe - 1496 KB)Download this executable to upgrade your GeoExplorer 2008 series handheld to GPS firmware version 2.03.

Features:
  • Improved handling of CMR+ corrections.
  • Version 2.03 GPS firmware addresses issues in the GeoExplorer 2008 series receiver with the handling of CMR+ corrections for real-time subfoot accuracy with a GeoXH handheld, or DGPS level accuracy with GeoXT and GeoXM handhelds.
  • The version 2.03 GPS firmware contains changes for using Japan’s MSAS (SBAS) corrections, including a revised zone where MSAS can be used.
Installation Instructions:
  • Download the GPS firmware upgrade file to an office computer.
  • Ensure that your GeoExplorer 2008 series handheld is in the support module, connected to a power source and connected to your computer using ActiveSync technology or the Windows Mobile Device Center.
  • Browse to the location where you saved the upgrade file and then run the executable file to start the upgrade process. The upgrade files are automatically transferred to your GeoExplorer 2008 series handheld and the upgrade begins automatically.
BluetoothIncomingSerialPort.cab(BluetoothIncomingSerialPort.cab - KB)This allows the external sensor to become the Bluetooth Host, and the Trimble mobile device becomes the client. See the Support Note for more details.
v1.01 - GPS Pathfinder Pro series/GeoExplorer 2005 & 2008 series/GeoBeacon receiver - Radio Activation Manager(Radio Activation Manager.exe - 152 KB)The GPS Pathfinder Pro series and GeoBeacon receivers are shipped with Bluetooth wireless technology activated. The GeoExplorer 2005 & 2008 series is shipped with Bluetooth and WLAN technology activated. Download this desktop application to deactivate or reactivate the wireless radio in your device. Bluetooth and WLAN type approvals are country specific.

Notes:

This application replaces the Bluetooth Activation Manager previously used for the GPS Pathfinder Pro series and GeoBeacon receiver.
You may need to deselect or disable serial COM port checking in the Microsoft ActiveSync application, or in other applications, to successfully connect to the GPS Pathfinder Pro series, GeoExplorer 2005 & 2008 series or GeoBeacon receiver with the Radio Activation Manager application.
This application does not support GeoExplorer versions prior to the GeoExplorer 2005 series.
SBAS.INI(SBAS.ini - KB)Updated: 1 August 2007
  • Contains the list of SBAS satellites, including the two recently launched WAAS satellites - PRNs 135 and 138.
  • Required when using Custom mode in Trimble field software to select particular satellites to track, and exclude from the tracking list.
  • Details on the new WAAS satellites and how to install the SBAS.INI file are included in the Support Note titled Status Update: New WAAS Satellites and Trimble GPS Receivers.
Dial String Editor (Windows Mobile 6, 6.1)(DialStringEditor.CAB - 231 KB)If your mobile carrier requires you to enter a custom dial string to connect to the internet and you have a GeoExplorer 2008 series, Trimble Nomad, or Trimble Recon handheld running Windows Mobile 6 or 6.1, you will need to use the Dial String Editor to enter the the custom dial string.
