Trimble's Force™ 5GS is a SAASM-based all-in-view dual-frequency receiver providing both Standard Positioning Service (SPS) and Precise Positioning Service (PPS) capability. Designed in accordance with the GPS Receiver Application Module (GRAM) Guidelines for SAASM-based receivers, the Force 5GS provides unequaled performance for military applications. The Force 5GS is unique in that a single receiver meets both CI-GRAM-500 and GPS Application Specific Receiver (GASR) specifications. 

The Force 5GS utilizes a massive correlator bank to enable Fast Direct Y-code acquisition in the presence of jamming.  Its advanced digital signal processing and software algorithm, as well as a high performance Oven Controlled Crystal Oscillator (OCXO), provide precise measurement data under high dynamics and adverse RF environments.

The Force 5GS addresses both Global Air Traffic Management (GATM) and Navigation Warfare (NAVWAR) requirements.  Its SPS/PPS firewall and switch enable SPS operation within civil controlled airspace while maintaining crypto keys.  Fault Detection and Exclusion and Step Detector functions are implemented in accordance with RTCA DO-229B.   Software is in compliance with the rigorous requirements of DO-178B.  Force 5GS test data and documentation support FAA TSO and US military MSO for certification within the host system.

The Force 5GS provides military integrators with a fast, economical solution for adding GPS-based positioning, timing and synchronization, and navigation to their high-performance products. It is easily integrated as a stand-alone GPS receiver or coupled with inertial or Doppler navigation systems.
