The Trimble® DSM™ 232 modular GPS receiver is your ideal solution for dynamic marine positioning tasks such as dredging in ports and navigation channels where it is integrated as the positioning sensor component. The Trimble DSM 232 receiver is capable of sub-meter, decimeter and centimeter accuracy and provides a complete range of GPS (Global Positioning System) positioning techniques including:
The Trimble DSM 232 GPS receiver is also easy to upgrade to increase performance as your positioning requirements change. The entry-level Trimble DSM 232 is a high-performance, sub-meter GPS receiver that includes a combined beacon, GPS and satellite differential correction antenna. It uses free public (MSK beacon or Satellite Based Augmentation System (SBAS) corrections such as WAAS) or subscription-based private differential correction services (OmniSTAR VBS) to calculate sub-meter positions in real time. The Trimble DSM 232 GPS receiver is also available in two dual-frequency models to use the accurate satellite differential based OmniSTAR1 XP/HP correction services delivering decimeter level accuracy, or to use the Real Time Kinematic (RTK) capabilities for centimeter accuracy in three dimensions. In situations where your applications may change over time, Trimble can supply an upgradeable model of the Trimble DSM 232 sub-meter receiver so you can upgrade the receiver to greater accuracies at a later stage. 1 Note - OmniSTAR VBS/XP/HP require a subscription from the service provider so check with them for availability and operating constraints in your area.
