Vehicle tracking and GSM cellular communications unit

crosscheckgsmThe CrossCheck® GSM mobile communicator integrates GPS, GSM transceiver, and computing technologies into a single, low-cost mobile positioning and communications system. The communicator sends GPS data and messages from mobile units to base stations running Trimble's FleetVision®  software; it also receives messages sent from the base station.

CrossCheck GSM is available in two versions: CrossCheck GSM 1900 and CrossCheck GSM 900/1800.

  • CrossCheck GSM 1900 serves those customers who use the wireless GSM Personal Communication Service (PCS), operating at 1900 MHz, in the United States, Canada, and some South American countries.
  • CrossCheck GSM 900/1800 is for customers who use the standard wireless GSM network, operating at 900 or 1800 MHz, in Europe, Australia, New Zealand, and most Asian countries.

Both units come with the IQEvent Engine™ firmware, which supports automated monitoring and reporting of vehicle activity and status. An alert report, for example, automatically sends the vehicle's location and status to the operations center, which can respond by remotely activating the vehicle's security systems (door locks, ignition lockout, sirens, lights, etc.)

The CrossCheck GSM receivers provide:

  • Automated position, event, and vehicle data logs of 2500 to 3000 records
  • NMEA-0183, TAIP, and TSIP outputs at the MDT port.
  • Discrete I/O for 4 inputs and 3 outputs

Accessories available:

  • EchoRTX™ Mobile Messaging Terminal that enables the driver to exchange messages with the dispatch center.
  • A voice upgrade kit that includes a telephone handset, microphone and external speaker for voice communications (hands free or handheld).
