The SPS852 GNSS Modular Receiver is simply the most advanced construction modular receiver on the market. Its position only or position and heading capability set it apart from the competition. Its ease of configuration and use as a base or rover, and its choice of antennas make it truly universal - capable of any operation.
The Trimble SPS852 combines the radio and GPS receiver in a single housing. You can secure the majority of your investment inside a site trailer, vessel cabin, or carrying case, protected from the elements and/or theft, leaving only the antennas outside.
Available in a range of options to suit your individual applications, flexibility and performance requirements, versatile Trimble GNSS receivers are a future-proof investment. The SPS852 uses all currently available satellite signals including L1, L2 and the GPS modernized L2C code. The SPS852 receiver can be upgraded with GLONASS and L5 GPS signals to optimize performance in areas of tough GPS-only conditions and maximize your investment well into the future.

|Modular design||The SPS852 GNSS receiver is a combination of an integrated unit that contains the GNSS receiver, radio and radio antenna plus battery and an external GPS antenna. The choice of antenna allows the receiver to be used as a rover on a pole or backpack, as a base station with a Geodetic antenna, or on a machine or marine vessel using the rugged antenna.|
|Security||The receiver unit can be placed in a secure environment where it can be protected from theft and weather while the less expensive GNSS antenna can be placed in a location with clear visibility to the sky.|
|Power||The long life internal battery will power the receiver in base operation (transmit data) for up to 10 hours using GNSS satellites. When the receiver is connected to mains power then it will use this as the primary power supply, should there be a mains outage then the internal battery will become active working like an Uninterrupted Power Supply and keep the site working.|
|Flexibility||The SPS852 GNSS Receiver can be configured in a variety of locations -- on site cabins, site trailers, in vehicles, light machines or on marine vessels. Flexibility and configuration options make it usable for many applications on site, improving your return on investment.|

|Internet Base Station Service and SNM910||In field or over LAN, the SPS852 can be connected to the Trimble Internet Base Station Service (IBSS) to deliver cellular corrections over the internet to rovers out of radio range. It is ideal to access remote or offsite locations, adjacent jobsites or as a backup in the event of radio blackspots.|
|Upgradable||You can upgrade the receiver to suit your changing needs. Purchase the receiver that you need today and upgrade to more satellite signals or higher accuracy when those needs change.|
|Ethernet Connection||When the receiver is connected to the Ethernet, the receiver can be accessed from anywhere in the world using its IP address. This means you do not have to travel all the way to site to check the receiver. Connect while sitting at your desk in the head office, check the settings or reset the receiver remotely.|
|WebUI||Built in Web User Interface can be used to configure the receiver. Connect via Bluetooth from a PC or via the internet if the receiver is connected via the Ethernet connection.|
|IBSS base station capability||Internet Base Station Service. When the SPS852 receiver is connected with the SNM910 cellular modem the SPS852 can work as an Internet Base Station. The SPS852 connects to Trimble Connected Community and provides a correction stream to multiple internet connected rovers. It removes the IT complexity, the hassles associated with private and dynamic IP addresses and the limited number of users associated with using NTRIP Caster function.|
|SPS552H Heading Add On Receiver||The SPS852 can be combined with an SPS552H Heading add on receiver to provide both precise position and heading for applications on cranes, vessels, dredgers where the position and orientation in real-time is important.|
The Trimble SPS852 Modular GPS Receiver is ideal for semi-permanent or permanent base station setups, construction rover applications as well as marine based applications.
It is the ideal base station to support grade checking, site measurement and stakeout, or can be used as a rover with a controller in a site supervisors vehicle or on a pole.
