Osmose Utilities Services, Inc., one of several Osmose companies, is a leading provider of asset-management solutions for electric, gas, and telecommunications networks. It serves utilities through field crews deployed across North America, providing field asset inventory, pole maintenance and inspection, and capture of data related to joint use attachments, vegetation status, NESC clearance issues, customer-to-transformer connectivity, and other important network asset conditions. Trimble's GPS product lines form the core of Osmose GPS data collection efforts. Osmose has standardized their FastGate Mobile sub-meter GPS data collection processes utilizing Trimble products.

• Northeast Utilities

Conducting a comprehensive streetlight and third-party attachment survey to update existing joint-use information and enhance related billing. Establishing sub-meter GPS positions on 710,000 poles distributed over 4,400 square miles in Connecticut, Massachusetts, and New Hampshire.
• PacifiCorp

Currently performing a field inventory focusing on collection of joint use information and involving location of specified network features to sub-meter GPS accuracy. The inventory covers a six-state area of the Northwestern US and includes 1.5 million poles.
• AEP

Performing a major field audit establishing an accurate inventory of network assets including customer-to-transformer connections in AEP's Smallworld GIS. The resulting asset data is needed to support outage management and other key support systems for the utility's SWEPCO service territory spanning Arkansas, Texas, and Louisiana.
