• Colorado Springs, Colorado
  

  Challenge: To make the workflow process more efficient and increase the accuracy of recorded information for better preparation in cases of litigation.

  Solution: Implemented Cartegraph WORKdirector, CALLdirector, SIGNview, SIGNALview along with wireless devices to help crews respond faster and create a comprehensive record for each work order.

  Results: Using the information housed in its Cartegraph system, the City of Colorado Springs protected itself from a $250,000 negligence lawsuit stemming from an incident involving a downed stop sign.

• Valparaiso, Indiana
  

  Challenge: To improve the work order process with a common software platform and be more sustainable by converting to electronic records.

  Solution: Implemented SEWERview, STORMview, WATERview, WORKdirector, CALLdirector, and VERSAtools along with mobile technology to streamline workflow, increase efficiency, and consume less paper.

  Results: Valparaiso City Water and Water Reclamation Departments have achieved a yearly labor efficiency of over 1000 hours and reduced paper usage by over 10,000 sheets annually. The efforts also helped lower the City's Insurance Service Organization (ISO) fire suppression rating, giving local business owners a potential savings of 8-10% on their liability and property coverage premiums.

  Challenge:To become more proactive and efficient in the planning and tracking of work through tracking and maintaining current and historical workflow information - including labor, equipment and materials - and manage tasks from initial request, all the way through completion.

  Solution:Implementation of Cartegraph's WORKdirector application and YourGOV citizen request applications.

  Results:By automating the assignment and management of work orders, the county has gained an additional half-hour of productivity time per employee, a figure equal to approximately 21,000 labor hours per year saved.
