Advanced Spatial Technologies LLC (AST), based in Oklahoma City, offers organizations complete solutions for mobile asset management. Our philosophy is data should be entered as close to the work as possible and we have over 25 years experience in designing and developing hardware and software systems for the workforce.

AST's primary application is the Spatial Asset Management System (SAMS), a spatially specific asset management database providing an easily customizable data management platform. SAMS presents a unique method of tracking field assets; their location and condition, plus their installation and repair history. This system promises significant savings in the asset management process.

SAMS combines with AST's Hornet Asset Location System (HALS) hardware solution, to provide a tightly integrated fully customized system for mobile asset management. Key components of HALS are high accuracy GPS receivers from Trimble Navigation, versatile digital cameras from Ricoh Corporation, and the rugged CF-18 or CF-29 Panasonic Toughbook as the primary control computer. In addition various peripherals and sensors can be added to the solution as required to meet specific application requirements.

AST offer solutions ideally suited to each client. Both "out-of-the-box" modules, as described below, plus customized solutions for specific data exchange and import/export needs are available.

• The AST Mark It field-staking module allows field crews to accurately record full attributes for assets including ID's, types, manufacturers, models, installation dates, repair dates, and condition. In addition, with a Trimble® GPS receiver and Ricoh digital camera integrated an accurate position and image can be recorded directly for each asset. Start using this module immediately to begin GIS marking your field assets.
• The AST Maintain It service work order module utilises data collected with AST Mark It to provide location and relocation management of previously collected assets plus field crew work order management. Savings of up to 90% in the effort of finding or relocating a previously marked asset are possible. Using Maintain It, a field crew can efficiently locate previously marked assets and perform scheduled, unscheduled or emergency operations on any recorded asset in an organization's field inventory.
• The AST Manage It master operations module is designed for office supervisors, inventory managers, and field supervisors, to dispatch personnel and field crews. This is the central control module for the AST SAMS software application. The AST Manage It master operations module provides all the functionality of the AST Mark It and AST Maintain It modules plus allows definition and categorization of users, new asset types, manufacturers, models, and attributes for each asset category.
